Default Sony Head unit Question.

Hi,
I recently got a new sony cd player for my car.

I was told that i need to purchase a bracket for it to fit into my EF2 Falcon.

Is this true???

Bracket? Not to mount it as it will be standard DIN size.
You might be able to get an adapter plug to make wiring easier, that's it.

the H/U will be the right size but you do need a bracket to mount it in. I just cut and drilled the stock bracket to bolt the last 2 sonys I did in. You will need a tamper proof torque spit tool to get the old one out.

You can't just use the factory bracket's with ef/l you need to mod the bracket. Cut the back end off or belt it flat with a hammer and then drill new holes in the right spot.

i got my car with a kenwood h/u and when i switch to the sony i just needed to use different screw holes on the slide bars which allows the unit to slide in and out of the main bracket once the security (5 point star) screws are removed.
