After a new set of tyres. Have two types in mind at the moment.
Kumho Solus KH15's (205/65) for around $480 fitted with wheel alignment from Tyrepower. Also saw Maxxis UA 603's from Bob Jane (215/60), will probably cost around the same, maybe a little less. I currently have old Kumho powermax tyres on now, they have been good, but given to me with the GHIA rims by someone who didn't mind the odd burnout and handbrakie. Rubber is splitting and has gone fairly hard. Anyone had experience with the Maxxis tyres? i know the Kumho ones will be decent, but not sure about the others. Cheers. |

I have a set of Powermax in 215/50. Kuhmo isn't a bad tyre, can't say I've heard about Massis..
On 15" I'd go 215/60 or 225/60 as the look so much better and are obviously wider for dry traction..

go as wide as you can, just looks better and also has better traction. I got 235/45 Dunlop SP sports max at the front and 255/40 Champiro HPZ-40 at the back. I wouldnt suggest going to wide though then it just looks to big.

I have just gone with the Maxxis 225/60s on a 15 x 7 alloy rim on my EF. So far so good - no obvious signs of wear bu I have only done 5,000 k's. I think they were around 130 each at Bob Jane.
