put a new fuel pump in the EF 3 weeks ago. then tonight was at a mate joint in bon beach, drove 2 km to carrum, when i left bon beach fuel gauge was 1/4 got to carrum it read empty, could this be faulty gauge? i know there was fuel in it because i had just put 30$ in it, and now i need a new pump. should i be able to get it on warranty?

did u change it over your self? coz u gotta make sure that you dont get the float stuck when you put it in or you will get dodgy readings.

everything read fine until tonight, i put it in, changed the strainer/ filter on the end of the pump, etc.

i would take it out agian and put it back in and make sure that u dont obstruct the float at all.

good old bursons warrantied the old pump, now just have to go fit it. yay ill ahve a car again 2nite

Sounds like you have bumped the wire off the fuel gadge sensor ???
