I just got my first car its a EL GLi but its still stock height and looks like a truck i just want to know how much lowering would be and how much you guys spent on doing it.

moorabbin spring works will compress your original springs to any height you want for $150 for the front fitted, not sure about the back as i have leaf springs.

Most people seem to pick up a set of superlows for about $220-250 new. Then just ring up some suspension places to see how much installation is if you dont want to try it yourself.
Probably recommended you upgrade your shocks if you get superlows but with just lows the standard shocks should be fine. |

i paid $285 for my springs front and rear brought them through autobarn.
fronts are king springs super lows and rears are ultra lows. car sits nice and even....and low!!!. Took me about an hour and a half to do the front and about 30 min for the rear just make sure you have a spring compressor. i would post some pics but they are 2 big and dont know how to make them small enough. |

I paid $60 for a set of 4 lowerd xr6 springs, and $100 for rear new gas rider shocks,
$175 for the coil overs up front. Looks good not over done. |

i had mine lowered on king lows all round about 3 weeks ago and it sits low but not quite low enough tickford_ghia's car is very nice and sits and handles well i have been in it maybe go with what he said front super lows and rear ultra lows if u want to go the whole yard my aswell change the shockers as the stock ones are getting old now i have the monroe gas one fitted handles a treat good luck

yeh definately change the shockers mine are stuffed now, they werent 2 bad when the stock springs were in it but now it bounces everywhere.
