hey guys on the way home last night i done a huge compression lock up and the entire car bounced around and shook everything. the car is an ea fairmont ghia. the dash all works including speedo but no interior lights work except for the speedo back light. so at night i cant see my tacho or temp guage but can see the speedo. would i have just blown a fuse or shook the earth point or something else? is there an earth point for all that? any help on what it would be is appreciated.
Ehab

I doubt the fuse has blown if the speedo light's still working. Have you checked to see if the globes are blown?
I see the 5 speed's getting driven 'sensibly'........

Must have been pretty nasty Ehab. I give your head gasket 6 months.
If the tail lights died, check fuses. Or maybe you shook all the globes out of the back of the cluster and rear Must have felt good, we have a manual forklift at work that gets locked up all the time.

wasn't "compression lockup", it was suddenly realising that the lights were red....
your brakelights don't come on when you 'compression lockup". or you have soft legs that can't handle the 'Xtreme' clutch lol ;) |
