Default Sports Car Tax?????

Just caught the end of it this morning on Sunrise on channel 7.

There is going to be a tax like luxury car tax on all new vehicles that is based on power to weight. 25% extra on all cars over a certain ratio. Car mentioned among others were SV8s, XR6 Turbos etc. Only cars exempt were ones that already qualified for LCT.

Looks like the scroobys of the world have had another victory.

Did anyone see the full story?

What a Joke. I think its more a case of the government cashing in on the popularity of these sorts of cars, but im sure Scruby and co wont mind one bit.

25% does sound very high, but really would any of us be that surprised if something like this came in? Even though I'll probably be burned at the stake... Better go buy that 200rwkw Skyline now :P
