i currently have an nf fairlane v8 stock now i was gonna chuck some paccies on and some underdrives and start slowly but surely adding on more bits and pieces au manifolds, cam, roller rockers and all that jazz. But then i thought y not just sell it get a stock low kilometer i6 and turbo it as money isnt an easy commoditie for me the advice or question is what are ppls experiences with both these roads already traveled and what would ppl suggest is the best options as in reliablity, power wise. ect? Im not trying to start a debate just looking for some helpful advice. :evilking:

It all depends on how much power you are looking to gain...
A turbo I6 will be quite expensive, and it needs to be engineered and emissions tested in order to be legal. A well built V8 could cost just as much... depending on the power that you are after. Personally, I would go to somewhere like FTG Auto Salvage, and buy a low K AU3 220kW V8, and throw pacemakers and a crane 2030 cam at it... Then just swap it for the 5.0 already in your NF. A mildly worked 5.0, will more than likely be more reliable than a turbo 4.0.

Do you want a turbo 6 or a V8? Do you have the money to build and run a turbo 6?
