the spring can also not sit straight on the top rubber pad, I suggest not doing it, lowered springs are not that expensive anyway

One coil will be fine, I cut two off my superlows from the back and it just sits on bump stops and is real bouncy.

I'd reccomend getting ultralows and getting short ride shocks, or cut one coil off superlows and get shocks.

Try it yourself, then you'll know that it's not as dangerous as the do gooders make it out to be, but it is illegal.

Consider getting a browser with a spell checker. Apparently Mozilla Firefox 2 has a spell checker, it may help.
it is quite frustrating trying to read things that are badly spelt.

LOL at you guys going on about the spelling...

Don't chop the springs. Spend the money and get ultralows. While your there, throw out the monroe shocks, they are rubbish.

this guy in bendigo cut his and it fell out yesterday while he was driving and he ended up with the car dragging along the ground litterly! thank god he wasnt on a highway going 100km/h or he coulda done some major damage and also thank god he didnt hurt anyone.

i noticed that when i got my new springs for the rear of my eb, the actual height wasnt any different with both springs next to each other, the pedders one just had more coils so im guessing thats how they sit lower. am i correct?

King springs are shorter in height IIRC.

my mate just bought ultralows for his car (cant mention what it is on here) and he had cut springs in the back. sitting them next to each other the ultralows were taller, however its all in the spring rate/tension, they are a lot softer than the cut originals.
if you want to be cheap, just take your springs out, take them to a place like the suspension centre, and get them retentioned. i had my old car done, it dropped to the equivalent of ultralows, and they were stock springs. the ride was unbelieveable.

The only way that would happen in an E-Series is if you're really really dumb and leave the shocker out or something. It's physically impossible for the spring to fall out when the weight of the car is on it, and obviously if it did happen to move, the shocker would keep it at least hanging on the car.
