Default removing grey stripe

i am thinking of removing the grey stripe from along the door's of my car just to make the doors look a lot smoother.
what are your thoughts?
and has anyone done this befor? and if so can u post pics plaese?

My opinion only... Because the strips are recessed into the door, doing this makes the car unfinished (looks like a back yarders spray job) - better to have the strips color coded and give it a more upmarket appearance.

Don't, I did it to my EA when I had it...Not only is it a pain in the ****. It doesnt look good either!

my mate did it to his EA and it looked like p00! looks really unfinished too.
ef/el's dont look too bad with the door moulds gone but ea-ed looks crap with them gone. im not sure what it'd look like if the recessed bits in the doors were bogged over and painted so it's all smooth. it'd be different, especially if you had a body kit that was smooth too.

colour code both the side moulds and the front and rear bars. Thats probably the best way buddy. Also new chrome strips for the bars. That will finish it off nicely

Here's how I painted my mouldings on my EF. Nearly 10 months on still no problems.
