Perth goers might know Black wall Reach on the Swan River - inbetween South Perth and Fremantle. Ill get some photos. its bloody freakin high. Apparently there are ghosts of two youn aborigional girls who died there many moons ago. You can only jump in one spot where there is a hole in the river bed floor, miss it and your legs,spine or life is gone.

^ gee that sounds nice. not.
First post/pic. Looks like a nice place. Also looks like the water would be freezing. We have some similar spots in Adelaide but they're reservoirs for drinking water :P doubt you'd be able to swim in them.

yeah its a quarry an its a nice temp all year...except if you dive real deep then its pockets of ice :
Its also really deep. on a clear day u can see a LOOOONNG way down. Its at a place called Kholo near Ipswich in Brisbane.
We dragged a jetski in there one day, that was fun...we didnt have to swim so far to the only place u can climb out :
