Thank you for your answer. I am in London, UK right now and the car as well, I must to sell my residence from here because I will let the UK for Australia. I was a doctor here in UK and now I will come back home in Australia, but not before selling the house from here. If we reach an agreement, I am willing to take care of the shipping to your address. Shipping will take 5 days maximum. Sorry but I can not provide you with any documents of the car, because is sealed in cargo with the car and ready to be shipped at your address if you agreed with the terms. I have managed to obtain a low cost shipping, only AU $1,000.00 and I presume it would be fair me to pay the shipping cost. Meaning, that the car and the handling will cost you AU $19,000.00. I think this is reasonable. Let me know.

Due to amount involved, I suggest using the security provided by eBay's Vehicle Purchase Protection Program for handling payment. In my opinion this is the safest way to handle the transaction. You will have the car for inspection and test drive BEFORE any money is released to me. That's the eBay's procedure.

Let me know if you're willing to proceed on this basis.

Nah if you did decide to purchase they would send you a message and say something like.

"Sorry there is an error in the link from the auction to the eBay's Vehicle Purchase Protection Program, we are working with ebay to fix it, but for now you can get to it via this link"

That link will go to a specially set up website that looks like the ebay one, you'll make the payment there and thats how you'll lose all your money, sounds like fun yes?

Yeah, same here. I got this as a second chance offer. Found it to good to be true, so just to be sure I sent it to ebay for verification. They confirmed that it was a con and they would advise interpol. Passed on this info to the seller and never heard back........ Shame that....

These guys are trouble. I once had a motorbike advertised on a trading website and received numerous emails from people along the lines of " A client mine owe me $5000 and when he pay I give money you and you ship bike to me when you receive money and then pay me the change for bike " What he was attempting to do was send me a money order, wait til I had cashed the $5000 money order and the money was in my account but not yet cleared. They were hoping that I would see the money in my account and assume it has cleared, then send them the bike and the extra $2000 difference, then they disappear and the money order bounces and you are left $2000 poorer and less a bike. Luckily I was reluctant to use any method other than direct deposit but a mate of mine wasn't so lucky and was left with several hundred dollars to pay off just for the fee of the bounced money orders. The moral is, the moment someone emails you about a nigerian contact etc etc run for the hills :hihi:

Australian Money Orders don't need to be cleared. They are paid for up front, the ones you get from the Post Office.

It was fairly clear that whoever sent them was not from Australia. The money orders had Wal-Mart written on them so I'm guessing America?

Yeah, they are american ones. Cheap fees, but i found them a little dodgy, so kept using western union when over there.

I thought a lot on this deal and I would like to inform you that I can send the car back to Australia, in North Queensland, also I will cover the shipping of the car back in Australia, but I need to be sure for my safety, that you are really interested in the car and have the money.
For that I would need you to go to a western union office in your area, with a friend, and ask him to send a deposit of $3,000, from the car`s price, in your name here in Houston, TX. You can find a western union office in any superstore in your area, or a grocery store. In this mode, you can be sure for your money , because only you can pick up the money , in Houston, TX.
After the transfer is done I would need this information so I can see that the deposit was made:

Any ideas on how you can scam the scammer? Or at least make his life a little uncomfortable. At least his price is a little more realistic, must have taken my advice.

lol we found the name of the motorbike scammer (above), looked him up and set a voip program up to call him every couple of minutes for about a day. Plenty of fun can be had with these guys, just use your imagination

wow $1000 for shipping a car from the UK to Queensland, yeah right,
try about $3500 plus import duty of 40% as you have not lived over there for more than a year, probably more now as thats from memory last time i enquired 5 years ago, plus decontaminating car by specialist company,not much change from another $400

yeah, hmmm how to "scam the scammer".......

I was curious one day and was close to opening a bank account with 50c, and seeing what happened haaaa... but apparently you are able to 'overdraw' on an account so that your account is actually in the red, so you got to pay a fee as well as the overdrawn amount... so i didnt bother...

Re giving these guys the run around, keep asking them to fax documents regarding the transaction several times (give them the local cop shop fax, or the fax of any company that gave you crap customer service recently) and just make them think your serious.... i heard of 1 person who strung some fool along for a month then just went silent, the guy at the other end sent a dozen faxes, called the mobile several times from God only knows what contry and just kept trying till the aussie guy had enuf fun and forgot about the scammer....

Anyway... the technology is there im sure to track these people down, its a shame its not used more often...

he baited him for ages he sent him broken down whitegoods im talking big washing machines,a fridge,boxes of dead pc power supplys ect
anyway when the scammer received what he thought were his new "anus"brand laptops was junk he went nuts after he had to fork out heaps before he could get his laptops

it doesnt need to be mentioned everytime there is "bargian" luxury car that could be a scam.
