Default You know you're an SA revhead when...

borrowed from another forum...

You know you are a South Australian Revhead if…

You have owned, or know someone that owned…a set of centerlines or Convo Pros

You suffered from depression when the Bay Car Park was closed off

You associate Bob Jane with No Drag Racing and not Tyres

Skye is NOT something you look at that’s blue, it is where you probably lost your virginity in the back of a car

You try to get the best position on Anzac Highway to watch the only Drag Racing we have.

You visit Le Cornus NOT to buy furniture but to find an old Chrysler sign

You know how to do the “esplanade” cruise

You can’t drive down Hindley St on a Saturday night without going down Rundle st also.

You KNOW that gumboots and speedos are NOT a bad combination to wear in Adelaide CBD

You write your “cruises” so that there’s a stop where a shop sells Farmers Union Iced Coffee

You always leave it to the last minute to enter any kind of car show

You think the tunnel up the freeway has NO SPEED LIMITS

You know someone that has worked at or you worked at Holdens, Mitsubishi or Bridgestones.

You have fond memories of Roley Park

The name “Regency” makes Modified Car owners Shudder

You only went to “Eagle on the Hill” to do a u turn and go back down it again.

You know where the “corkscrew dipper” and “devils elbow” are, and NO they are not starsigns

You know what Mainline, Starline, Northline and Marion Twin are/were

You can remember where the 'other' Adelaide Holden plant is

You think the only kind of racing that happens at the "parklands" is motor racing

You don't go to Port Gawler for the boating or fishing

anyone got any others?

- when you can drive up and down Gorge Rd in the dark with no headlights on

- when you love the sound of your tyres squealing on the concrete floor of the Harris Scarfe multi storey car park in town

- no matter where you cruise, you end up at a KFC somewhere

- when the words Victor Harbour and Christmas Cruise sound so nice together

- when you are driving 110kmh on a country road - LEGALLY

- you think the right lane on the freeway is the slow lane (no, thats not an SA revhead lol)

- you travel interstate to drag race your car

- you want to race one of the new trams to Glenelg

- you leave big thick black lines in the car park at Mt Lofty

I miss the old Bay carpark, and being able to see nothing but open air as you drove down Anzac Highway towards it...

see i never got to witness the bay carpark day. ive been told by many that those days were golden. i did get to hangout at magic mountain carpark when i had my escort, then that got close the cruising scene sort of died.

You would never buy tyres from Bob Jane even if they were $10 each brand new.

You carry around a bottle of oil for the dip at moana.
