I like peas.
I think it is a combination of their lack of shelf-life when fresh, the ease with which they can be mechanically processed, and their excepional frozen life.

An old mate of mine lost his partner earlier this month after a long fight. She was only 56. Cancer is a b!tch.

One of the 14 yearly juvenile delinquents that killed that innocent motor cyclist in NSW, was out on bail. Reportedly has 38 pages of court charges, and breached bail 90 times, and he's 14.
And they want to raise the age of criminal responsibility to 14.
When is this bull manure going to stop.
He should never see the light of day again, contributes nothing to society except crime and grief.
Enough, just enough. Build more jails, I don't care if they neck themselves.
But this is what governments are afraid of, ooh, another death in custody.
Tell that to the families of innocents who are collateral damage in the government's eyes.

Abolutely agree 100%. We have to become tougher.

Build more jails - and dont give them phone calls every day, internet access etc. Make it so bloody tough in jail that they never want to go back again if they get out!

It is about time people start questioning their local politicians and vote in the ones who champion proper law and order, no use whinging about these crimes when you got the wrong people in power.

Agreed, but the new Qld Premier got in recently on a campaign of tougher laws for juvenile delinquents and in the NT. Seen any changes, no, me neither.
They're all hot air.

I hate that this mob of parasites have not been taken behind the wood shed and flogged to death yet!

I hope that when they are sentenced next month, it reflects the gravity of the situation. Especially the Mother.

What an utter dreg.

Cheers, Tony

David Crisafulli campaigned hard on youth crime, and I do believe his government is making changes in QLD parliament, time will tell whether he gets applauded or cops' flack over inaction from the people & media.

I also do believe the Victorian Liberal opposition will announce policies of the same nature with youth crime for their next upcoming state election.

I had been following the story a bit, seeing as it happened nearby. However, reading more of the back story just makes it that much worse.

The mother deserves everything they can possibly level at her for letting Elizabeth die, plus extra for being the driving force behind brow beating her husband into renouncing his common sense and care for his daughter through years of psychological bull's hittery and consequently, turning to the path of El Jeebers Loco.

This one hits pretty hard with me, because my own Daughter got a bad infection when she was about seven and ended up in the Mater Children's hospital for a number of weeks when her kidneys shutdown. She came so close to not making it and to hear that parents would willingly allow themselves be convinced by a group of god-bothering frock-tards to rescind medical care and just sit there watching her die (and f$#@&+ng photograph/video the poor girl), makes me yearn for the cat-o-nine tails to be brought back. Hell, I'd give 'em all a few lashes just to get the show under way.

Anyway, I best go and calm down a bit.

Cheers, Tony

As I said to the candidate who was on the "how to vote" stand at the last election, "Mate, your lot reckon new and tougher laws are going to make a difference, right? well society has been on one hell of a downhill slide for the last 40+ years, getting worse and worse every day despite more new rules and laws than the entire country could poke a stick at. F off and come up with a new plan."

And why is it manslaughter instead of murder.

My wife has been type 1 for over 40 years, and this shit is just heartbreaking to watch. They should all rot in jail

Yeah problem is - they put laws in place, then when people break these new laws - **** all consequences.

There is always some sob story bullsh!t as to why they broke the law.

Murder is intentional, manslaughter is unintentional.

In being a bunch of happy clapping god bothering idiots, they can claim manslaughter.... aka not guilty of murder by way of mental defect.

Exactly, they need to quit making new laws and work with the ones they already have.

You are right - dregs of society
With manslaughter it will be easy to get a conviction, murder most likely not, I know it sucks but the prosecution will evaluate what charges is achievable for conviction before a case goes to trial.
Unfortunately, in most cases these scumbags will get off lightly as to what they really deserve.

Murder is intentional.
This poor child is the victim of gross neglect and the willful denial of medical attention. It's the closest to murder possible. Then comes the right to practice freedom of religion. This child was denied her rights and choice as a minor, this is where the state failed the child but not the parents.
Her right to life was deliberately denied to her by her parents choice, they should be subject to the maximum sentence allowed by law.

I was on the jury of a murder trial many years ago.

A bloke stabbed another bloke in the chest at a party, plenty of witnesses, autopsy bloke said the gash was much bigger than the blade which shows force was used, one witness said the murderer told him the blade went right in.

Clear cut murder to me and most of the jury.

Judge said if not guilty go to manslaughter.

But a couple held out and wanted manslaughter.

In the end they both confessed that they didn't want the responsibility of sending this bloke to jail.

They caved in and the bloke was convicted of murder.

Sometime later a group of lawyers wanted to talk to people who had been on the jury of such trials. I recall saying to them that some people do not want the responsibility of judging their fellow man. I also told them if they bring back to mandatory death sentence some juries may baulk at finding them guilty.

So I understand why they go for a guilty plea on a lesser charge.

This is quite different to the American system where you plead guilty to a lesser charge for less jail time/no jail time, even though you are innocent.

I was also on a murder trial jury that convicted.
From memory there were 3 or 4 (female) jurors, all weeping with what they knew was the truth but looking for a way to avoid that guilt of guilty verdict.

After some further deliberation, cooler heads prevailed and a unanimous verdict was reached.

Turned out this was defendant's second conviction, the first having been overturned on a technicality. Got 15 years plus the 4 already served in remand.

The problem is that her parents and the rest of the mentally challenged bible thumpers can argue that they did not *intend* for the kid to die, but that they believed that their prayers would bring divine intervention.

As I said, not guilty of intentionally causing the kids death because they were too delusional to believe otherwise. You could also consider a manslaughter charge an acceptable alternative to these ****bags skating on an insanity plea.

this so called church is not mainline. They are a group that through whatever ways were courced (spelling??) by one leader that his thoughts were right.

Thabkfully not all churches believe that. My wife is recovering from 2nd cancer operation, she has also had a major anurisim, 3 times doctors told us to prepare for her death.
We had our church pray over her, for her and we believed she would be healed. We also took wisdom in the amazing medical doctors and specalists we have in this country.

She is now healed from 2nd cancer. Did God heal her...YES without a doubt. Sometimes and we have seen it happen He will heal without abny intervention but He (God) also gave doctors wisdom to knowledge.

Not so in the original story.
