Hi All,
Sorry for the noob question, but couldn't find anything after searching. Just wondering if this will be a straight fit (ie plug straight in, no extra wiring) to replace my single cd unit? http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=113226 Thanks, Justin.

Yep it'll work fine. You won't have that pocket underneath handy anymore though! ;)

Ahh, nothing to miss and all to gain! If it does work flawlessly like stated you will be one of the few without the infamous appetite for cds.

Yeah, I have heard quite a few bad things about them, and I do have a few aftermarket units lying around, but I just can't be stuffed doing anything extra at the moment!

Thats looks like a premium sound HU.
Which means you wont have any output from the rear speakers as you will need the amp that comes with the premium package. However, the normal S2 & S3 single cd player HU will be direct replacement and will power all 4 speakers. |

U can put a series 2 into a series 1 i have done it but making the button on your steering wheel work is another battle, which i should be attempting in the not to distant future(when i have time), though u might have to do a lil bending and filing to get the head unit in as there not identical, i wish i didn't get the 6 stacker now coz they really need an amp to decent clarity and volume out of compared to aftermarket which u can get away with.

Thanks for the advice guys! Looks like it's sold anyway now. Probably a good thing too, as I've just bought more accessories for the AU that I didn't need, plus another car.
