Default Changing colour - depreciating its value?

Ive almost finished the panel work on my MK1. The original paint work is that sky blue colour that is factory - amazingly it was in not to shab condition. But any way if i was to change the colour to a after maket colour, such as a colbolt blue would you say that this would reduse its resale. Not that im planning to ever selling, but. :baby bott

Unless it's a special build (not sure what model of Ford you are talking about - Capri, Escort, Cortina) it wouldn't really make that much difference to me. If you had say, a Mk1 Escort RS1600 I would be leaving it the original colour and even go so far as to respray it (only if necessary) with acrylic paint.

If you have a 1300XL Auto which you're doing up and modifying, then I would paint it whatever colour you wanted and value wouldn't be a consideration.

Just my 2c.
