Seeing as my XR6T has been moved along to the wreckers yard (see thread link in my signature) I have replaced it with a LW Focus (for the missus) and a Patrol for myself.
When the Focus was delivered, We got a flip Key & a normal key. Obviously seeing as the better 1/2 will be driving it daily, she has claimed the flip key. I was wondering if the key for the 2010 FG XR6T is able to be reprogrammed to start the 2012 LW Focus. Obviously it will need a new blank key to be cut, but I am wondering if the transponders are the same? any info would be appreciated.

The only issue with our new FG XR6T is that no one has told me how to prevent the stains on my shorts that happen ever time i mash the accelerator pedal  : and now the lil dint in the rear bumber http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...30#post4142130My speed limiter is set to 120 - anything over that and she punches me in the arm. |

No sorry the transponder chips are different, u will need a new complete flip section. The remote is the same
