Hi all,
I have a '71 Mk1 Capri V8 I use for fun and club motorsport. It runs a Borg Warner Commodore disc braked LSD and I'm trying to reduce the roll I experience when driving hard. I have a 27mm front bar and coilover Bilstein struts but am still finding too much roll-steer. Does anyone here run a rear bar and if so, what spec are you using? Hope to hear from a like-minded enthusiast! Thanks, Mal K |

Aside of fitting a rear link kit, there is not much available for the Capri in terms of rear sway bars. There are some thin bars available. I have one in my shed, but talking to a few Nc racers, like escorts, they have very little affect. If you stiffen the rear up too much, they become twitchy.
I've heard the A-frame kits used in the UK have some benefits to handling but the V6s over there have nothing in terms of power compared to the Aussie V8s. I guess it all depends on what sort of power you are producing. I would image anything beyond 300 would require some sort of a link kit. |
