Default Focus 2012 silly question

Ok no major issues since new transmission. Except the back hatch always worked to stay up . Then it would not stay up and then not and then it would.
Now it will not stay up . Any clues on why it won’t stay up and how I get it to stay up like it should .
Thanks

This car has cost me so much money and time since I got it from Dad before he passed . Mind you the transmission was covered but the dealer kept saying it was the battery until I got it changed

Sounds like the struts on the hatch have failed. Some of them can be refilled/regassed or they can just be replaced with after-market ones from EziLift (and others) for around $30 each.

Ok mechanic ordered the struts and replaced them in 30 minutes
I’m not sure what ford used to make this focus but the new ones are like body builders
Happy as with them
