On this day 100 years ago, one of Australia's favourite breakfast spreads was invented by Cyril Callister.

On this day in 1974 , a little program that would later go on to make Marlo-born Ian Meldrum a household name in this country, and a music celebrity around the world, first went to air.
Amazing to think that it only went through to 1987. Happy birthday Countdown.
