just wondering if anybody no,s if ya reset your ecu on a auIII will it have any effect on your fuel ecconomy...i was wondering cause every time i fill mine it says on the DTE around 600odd kms and today i was in someone elses auIII and they had just filled up and it saided DTE 836km.....
also has anyone found any differance in ecconomy buy use the ecconomy switch compared to normal.... |

I've got an stock au2 and it says 500-540 when filled up. Assuming yours and your mates are stock (or close to it), something is definitely wrong with mine....

not necessarily, it depends on how far you have travelled on the last tank, and the calculated usage just before you fuelled up, mine can go from anywhere between 500+ to 700+ when i fill up

eeh
when i filled up the other day with pederol (98 mind you) it said 360klms i used it for a little while and stopped shooting myself in the foot and swapped her back on to gash

If you do a few hundred kays on the high way next time you fill up it will read aroud 800. It calculates your dte on fuel consumption/distance on recent driving. Unless you are only driving it on the highway or only in town ( identical driving habits / conditions all the time) don't even look at the dte cause it will never be right

Personally I think the econ button does jack, but surely there's a bunch of people that will dissagree. Reseting the ECU can improve economy, but it can also make it worse.
