I recently had my 30 k service done on my TDCI and it was quite expensive (I think anyway) $287. Anyway they have put 10W/40 oil in my car when my book recommended 5W/30. Will this cause any issues?
Forgot to mention it was semi synthetic magnatec.

It won't cause any issues, but will run better on the 5w30.
In future, take your own oil and get them to use it. If nothing else, you'll get a better oil (full synthetic) for the same money or less)
