Finally got around to installing my Cat10.
This is replacing a Cat09 which cacked itself. With the Cat09 I had the i/r sender located in the centre console between the drink holders. That worked well but was prone to being bumped. I've installed the new one in the map lights but as luck would have it, it's too acute an angle to work when the head unit is installed (worked great when I was holding it in approximate position, lol) Where do those who have sender located in the roof locate them? I'm a bit loathe to drill any more holes and it's not just as easy as it looks to find a place that is accessible. |

Success!
I pulled the centre dash apart (again) and moved the head unit in by about .00000001mm and the steering wheel buttons work. I put blue leds in the dash as well but that's another story ;) |

It's a JVC BT01 (I think) I'll check that later. (edit: just checked KD-BT1) I paid $200 for the Cat09 from JB about 15 months ago. It crapped out after 11 months so they replaced no questions asked with a Cat10. It's been sitting in the cupboard waiting for blue led time. Today was the day... |
