Default Mondeo Questions.

Friend is looking at a Mondeo Titanium Ecoboost.

3 Questions.

1. Does the adaptive cruise control work in stop start motorway commuting or is it the type that hands back control to the driver below a certain speed i.e. doesn't work below say 30 k.p.h. ?

2. Can you run them on 91 Octane fuel ?

3, If so is there much power loss ?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

It cuts out below 20k's

The car can only be run on 95 octane or higher. The manual and fuel filler cap states the car cannot run on lower than this.

Hope this helps

Our EcoBoost has only ever ran on 95ron and up. The manual states that 95ron or higher is recomended, but 91ron could be used but with a loss of performance, economy and increased engine noise.

As already mentioned it cuts out below about 20k, but is also worth remembering it will not detect a stationary vehicle in front of you.

Ecoboost Titanium seems like a lot of vehicle and technology for the money to me

Ward's top ten engine list too.
