I have an au3 forte. I have noticed that it's a little irregular when changing up transmission..
At wide open throttle I've noticed a few things.. One day it changes up at 5200rpm Next day it's changing up at 4900rpm Now it's changing up at around 4700rpm?? What effects when it decides to change up? Throttle is definitely opening all the way. Just weird.. Fuel? Heat? Tps? Why is she deciding to change up at different rpm points? On different days.. Only change is type of fuel.. It actually has premium 98 in it at moment??? Puzzled.. |

Im thinking it must be TPS. it seems a little tempermental.. One day it will change at 5200rpm every time.. NExt day it decides 4900rpm is the new limit at WOT Last night it was calling it a day at 4700rpm. I put the selector in 1 and it revs out nicely when in manual mode. Car feels nice n powerful but just weird how it changes up. |

I had the same problem
The rubber grommet on the accellerator cable perished, can't remember which end, i think it was near the pedal. Was really annoying me how early it was changing up. Replaced cable, works fine now. I did some test runs (in an 80kmh zone near my old house) and it was changing up beautifully at full noise. Did about 5 runs to make sure, and what's this? Brake fade? Oh well old friend, i haven't seen you in a long time.

Also notice that sometimes on takeoff, it takes off and then just after about 2500rpm, its lke it gets a surge of power all of a sudden.

Any progress with this? I have a similar problem with mine at 2,500rpm. Strugles around that point and then kicks off nicely and screams past 3,000rpm. 211,000km's i think the trans is on its way out.
