Default OBD2 scanner to suit BA Falcon Ute, Barra 6 cyl

Hello one & all. I am looking for a scanner that can change stuff, not just a reader. I found while researching, Forscan, seems to be a good one. But I think I will need a laptop as well. I'm not very familiar with OBD2 at all. Any advice or suggestions would be helpful. Cheers & have a nice day!

What are you trying to change?

My pick would generally be Forscan with an extended licence and a ELM327 adapter.

i use Forscan and it's great for me when i change 'stuff' and i also use a windows 10 laptop [nothing fancy]. "and a ELM327 adapter. " i use the recommended adapter as having the cheaper switched adapter [to me] means your guessing when to flip the switch.
as mentioned you can use the extended licence [was a 2 month limit & no idea what it is now] when needed or as i do with a paid licence [yearly & doesn't cost much].

The ute is an xl, doesn't have cruise control. I bought the switches for it & I need to tell the ECU to activate it.

Hi. Have you fitted the switches yet? There seems to be about a 50% chance that the cruise control will work from what I have seen over the past 10 years. Cheers MD
